On Deck

Hi Pooligans,

No pictures today but thought it was time for a little update.

So Inspector Gadget paid us his first visit on Monday and all went well. Since then the guys with gas (no not my brothers) showed up and did rough gas lines for the pool and BBQ Island.

Oh speaking of the BBQ Island. If you click on the link for the Outdoor Kitchen we are actually getting the Platinum II. We were looking into the Thatched Roof but decided against it when the guy told us you have to flame proof it every year and replace them every three years. Instead the round eating area on the Island will have an umbrella.

Okay back to the progress update. So our deck remodel is fully underway. The old deck has been dismanteled and the frame for the new deck is already up. Korey is very excited about this and counting the days until the Bali Hai Gazebo can be put in place. She’s thinking coffee on the deck in the mornings and cocktails in the evening (remember to VOTE on the Right Side for the Bali Hai Signature Drink). God knows we don’t want to leave it to Korey to pick her own cocktail ;).

Moomba and Zack think this backyard redo = agility course training. They have mastered jumping over pipe trenches, tight rope walking on small pieces of dirt and navigating around deck posts and wood piles at lightening speed. Don’t be surprised if you see this soon on ESPN, XGAME for Dogs!

Tomorrow is the big day for Gunite and I received my pool watering instructions for the next week (3X a day first 4 days and 2X a day after that). The pool scheduler told me to think of it as an excuse to work on my tan ;). I should have told him floating in a pool is a way to work on my tan but remember it’s important to stay on the pool scheduler’s good side :).

So things really are moving along (though never fast enough for us land bound lasses).

Splash count 4-6 weeks and counting!

P.S. Pool Purchases of the Week: Floating Noodles and BBQ Bar Stools.
