What a way to spend my %% birthday, hiking the California Coastline on a warm sunny January day. We zipped over the hill to the wonderful Costanoa Resort for a little celebratory R&R.
Hiking from the lodge down along the coastal edge was an easy, exhilarating and pretty darn private (only came across 2 people the entire hike).
The two highlights were for sure sitting on a bluff enjoying our picnic lunch and coming across an elephant seal on the beach. What an amazing and enormous creature. Ellie (as we called her) could care less we were there just happy to be sunbathing the day away.
That evening we ate at the resort and followed dinner with hanging by our own private outdoor fire-place.
The only regret was we couldn’t stay another night. What a fabulous get away and so lucky Korey treated me to it :).
